All you scientists who whine about the government not backing science to the hilt should support this guy (unless you’re a Republican scientist, if you are then I am sorry for disturbing your very important creationist experiment). He is currently running neck-and-neck against a self-funded republican millionaire in Illinois.

Incidentally, the seat used to belong to a former Speaker of the House. Oh times have fallen for the GOP.
